A mathematics-only tutoring practice
SparklMind teaches one subject: mathematics. Classes are live and online, usually one teacher with one student, for Class 5–12 and JEE students in India and Grades 5–12, AP and SAT students in the United States. Every student starts with a free 45-minute diagnostic, gets a written plan, and keeps the same teacher every class.
SparklMind was founded by Akash Singh and is based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Classes run Monday to Saturday in Indian Standard Time and all four continental US time zones, timed around each student.
What we teach, and what we don't
We do not teach physics, chemistry or other subjects. Covering them would mean hiring teachers we cannot screen as carefully, so students preparing for JEE usually keep their coaching for the other two subjects.

Mathematics only, paced to the chapters that carry the most marks, with past-year questions every session and a mark-by-mark analysis of every mock.

Tutoring in the USHow we teach
Most tutoring is a lecture with a smaller audience. These four things are the difference between watching someone solve a problem and being able to solve it next Tuesday.
Diagnose before teaching anything
A student who cannot factorise is not going to learn integration, whatever the syllabus says. The first sessions map backwards until the ground is solid, and the plan says out loud how long that takes.
The student holds the pen
The teacher watches the working, not the answer, because the mistake is almost never in the last line. Wrong turns get interrupted at the step they happen, which is the only moment the correction actually lands.
Mistakes get filed, not forgotten
Every error goes into a running journal tagged by cause — concept gap, calculation slip, or ran out of time. Those three need completely different fixes, not just “be more careful”.
Revision is scheduled, not remembered
Chapters come back on a spacing schedule rather than when someone panics before an exam. Flashcards and practice sets are generated from the student's own journal, so revision is aimed at their gaps.
How a teacher gets in front of your child
Three steps, in this order. Being good at maths gets a teacher through the first one and nothing else.

Sit the paper first
Applicants write a paper from the exam their students will write, such as JEE Advanced maths or the AP Calculus BC free response, under time.

Teach a real class, watched
A demo class, watched. We are looking for one thing: do they stop when the student is lost, or keep going because the plan said so?
- Gate 3
Identity check, then ongoing feedback
An identity check before teaching, then parent feedback and attendance are kept in view. If a teacher is not the right fit, you can ask for another at any time.
What parents see, without having to ask
Tutoring is hard to judge from outside: without regular reports you find out whether it is working only when the report card arrives.
A fortnightly written report
What was covered, what stuck, what needs another pass, and what changed in the plan because of it. In plain language, with no scores dressed up.
Sit in on any class
Any class, without telling anyone first. It is your child's class and your account — there is no observation request to file.
Every recording, within two hours
Class video, the whiteboard as a PDF, and the teacher's notes, all in the dashboard. Useful when a student says the class was fine and the report says otherwise.
A direct line to the teacher
Message the teacher who teaches your child, not a support queue. Replies come from the person who was in the room.
When we are the wrong choice
If your child is already near the top of a good batch and self-corrects, a batch is the better spend. This is built for the student who is quietly lost in one and nobody has noticed yet.
